A five-day summer school on computer science was held at the Department of Computer Science and Automation, IISc, Bangalore in June 2013. The main aim of the summer school was to introduce undergraduate students to cutting-edge research in computer science. The summer school contained talks, demos, and hands-on sessions by the department faculty, research scholars and industry experts, covering theoretical and applied aspects of computer science. Participating students had an opportunity to interact with students and faculty in the department.

The summer school was open to second and third year B.E./B.Tech students of Computer Science/Information Technology. Registrations for the summer school have now closed. Around 65 students from across the country were selected in this years summer school.

• July 6, 2013: We thank the faculty, staff, and students of CSA for helping us organize the summer school. A separate page has been created to acknowledge the help rendered by the students and staffs.
• June 28, 2013: Summer school comes to an end. It was certainly great fun to have five days of jam-packed sessions with participation from 60+ students from all over the country. The list of students who won prizes in the summer school can be found here.

• April 29, 2013: Wait-listed candidates have been informed of their selection through e-mail today.
• April 15, 2013: The first list of selected candidates has been finalised. All the selected candidates have been informed through e-mail today. In addition to the selected list of candidates, we have also wait-listed some candidates. Wait-listed candidates will receive an e-mail by next week, only if the selected candidates are unable to participate in the summer school.
• April 6, 2013: The first list of selected candidates will be available by April 15, 2013.
• March 6, 2013: Registrations for the summer school have closed and acknowledgment e-mails have been sent to all applicants. If you have applied but did not receive an acknowledgment, please revert back.
• March 1, 2013: The deadline for registration to summer school has been extended to March 5, 2013.
• Feb 13, 2013: The dates for the summer school have been finalised, to be held during June 24-28, 2013.
