Q. Is it mandatory to register on the Swagatham website ?
A. Yes, it is mandatory to register in the Register Section of the website. The last date for registration is 6th April 12:00pm (noon).
Q.Is this event open for all or anyone can register ?
A.No. Swagatham program is by INVITATION only. You will be able to attend Swagatham ONLY if you have received an invitation email from us directly.
Q. Where should I report once I reach Bengaluru?
A. You will be provided accommodation in Krishinton Suites, you are expected to report there. You can tell your name at the reception by mentioning Swagatham Program and they will guide you accordingly.
Q.How do I reach from KIA (Kempegowda International Airport) Bengaluru to Krishinton Suites ?
A. You can view directions from Kempegowda International Airport to Krishinton Suites and also the various available modes of transport in Google Map here.
Q. What is covered under Accommodation?
A. Room on sharing basis shared with fellow Swagatham attendees of the same gender. Breakfast & Wi-Fi is covered. Any other charges need to be paid by the attendee.
Q. I am willing to stay post Swagatham for miscellaneous reasons, will my travel be reimbursed ?
A. Yes, you can submit your return ticket to us during the program, irrespective of the return date we will reimburse you, but we will cover accommodation only for two nights (either 13th and 14th April or 14th and 15th April) only.
Q. When will we get the reimbursement amount ?
A. Kindly bring all the documents needed for reimbursement and submit it to us when you arrive at IISc for Swagatham. We will then process it and give you the reimbursement.
Q. My family wants to accompany me. Will their travel and accommodation be covered?
A. No.
Q. Will my family members be able to attend Swagatham ?
A. No.
Q. I am travelling with my family. Where can I find accommodation for my family?
A. The locality has a variety of lodging options. You can also contact Krishinton suites at 080-42595959.
Q. What is covered under travel reimbursement?
A. To and fro airfare/trainfare (if applicable), road transport (bus, auto or taxi) home to closest airport/railway station/bus station, Bangalore airport/railway station/bus station to Krishinton suites.
Q. How do I reimburse taxi fare (Usual/Ola/Uber) ?
A. You can ask for a receipt from the cab driver. If you use Ola/Uber Application then showing receipts on the app would be sufficient.
Q. Can I fly any airline?
A. Yes. You can fly any airline.
Q. What documents do I need for travel reimbursements?
A. Please send soft copy of your plane tickets to swagatham.csa@gmail.com as soon as you book them. Please ensure that the subject line is “Ticket < your name>” . After you arrive we will need your boarding pass (in case of air travel). Please save the road transportation receipts (taxi, bus, train, etc) and provide them on your arrival.
Q. Auto/taxi receipts are lost or are not provided. Will I still be reimbursed?
A. In such cases, reimbursement will be done as per IISc norms.
Q. Will you cover travel reimbursement if it exceeds 15000 INR?
A. No. Any expenses beyond 15000 INR will not be covered by us and will need to be borne by the attendee.
Q. Do I need to attend both days (Apr 14 and 15) to get the travel reimbursement?
A. Yes.
Q. I want to attend but have other commitments during this period. Can I come on a different date other than Apr 14 and 15, 2019?
A. Welcome. You are definitely welcome to visit the Department anytime. Unfortunately in that case, we will not be able to reimburse your travel and you will miss out on all the cool sessions that we have planned for you.
Q. When should I reach Krishinton?
A. It is advisable that you reach Krishinton by noon on Apr 14th.
Q. When should I leave Krishinton?
A. Our session ends at 2 pm on 15th April. Depending on your travel convenience, you are welcome to depart anytime after that.
Q. Where is Krishinton Suites located ?
A.It is located opposite to D-GATE of IISc. IISc is popularly known as Tata Institute.
