We aim to introduce students to cutting-edge
research in computer science

The Department of Computer Science and Automation (CSA), Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru is holding a five and a half day summer
school during July 2-7, 2018. The summer school contains talks, demos, and hands-on sessions by the institute faculty, research scholars and industry
experts covering theoretical and applied aspects of computer science. Participating students get an opportunity to interact with students and

Talks on various topics by Institute faculties, Research scholars and Industry experts.

Interactive Demos

Hands on session and interactive demos by current students. Great oppurtunity to interact.

Hackathon

Solve problems spanning domains like Theoretical Computer Science, Systems and Machine Learning.

Fun Activities

Quizzes and many other fun activities on each and everyday. Lot of surprises awaiting.

Important Information

Open only to undergraduate students completing the third year in Computer Science/Information Sciences. Check out this space periodically for more updates.

  • Deadline for submitting applications is 20th May by 11:59 PM.
  • No registration charges/fees for the school
  • The selected candidates will be informed through email.
  • The tentative schedule will be announced soon.
  • All participating candidates will receive a certificate of participation.

  • The candidates will be selected based on their academic qualifications (CGPA, projects etc) and the statement of purpose provided at the time of registration. The decision of the selection committee is final.
  • The selected candidates will be given free wi-fi access within the department. Hence, all the selected candidates are advised to bring their laptops. The selected candidates will be given free lunch on all six days of the summer school (Monday through Saturday). The sessions end with Lunch on Saturday, the 7th.
  • Selected applicants are requested to arrange for their accommodation on their own. The CSA department does not provide accommodation.
  • We would require a bona fide cum no objection certificate from your Department Head or your College Principal, the template for which shall be sent to you upon getting selected.
