CSA Open Days

Department of Computer Science and Automation (CSA) at Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore will be organizing the annual 'Open Days' on the occasion of IISc founder's day.

Rules


  • A participant should be a student enrolled in an educational institution.
  • This will be an INDIVIDUAL event.
  • There will be TWO rounds in the contest.

Registration


  • To register fill up the form Code Fiesta Registration which requires your Full Name, College Name, Degree and Email ID.
  • You have to confirm your registration before 1 hour of event's start time on the day of event at CSA department.
  • Even if you have not registered for the event by filling up the above form, You can register for the event before 1 hour of the start time on the day of the event at CSA department. But it is recommended that you register on the event page well before the contest starts, so that we have your information already and can notify you about the event news/updates.

Qualification Round


  • This will be a written round.
  • Questions will be mainly from Data Structure, Algorithms and Time Complexity. Programming Langauge will be C/C++.
  • There will be around 50 questions.
  • Most questions will be of MCQ type.
  • There may be some questions whose answer will be a single line answer.
  • This round will be of 1 hour duration.
  • Around 15 participants will be qualified for the final round.

Final Round


  • This will be a coding round.
  • You will be given a set of 4 - 5 problems.
  • You have to solve the problems using C/C++ or Java.
  • The input / output will be in ACM ICPC format.
  • Your program should be a single threaded program.
  • This round will be of 3 hours duration.
  • You will be provided the necessary resources including system.
  • The decision of judges will be final and binding.
  • There will be a time-limit (e.g. 2 - 10 seconds) on the execution time of the submitted solution.

Prizes


  • 1st Prize : Internship offer from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and Goodies worth INR 6000.
  • 2nd Prize : Goodies worth INR 3000.
  • 3rd Prize : Goodies worth INR 1500.
