Symposium on

Emerging Computing and Networking

Celebrating IISC CSA Department's Golden Jubilee

on Friday, January 4, 2019 at MRC Auditorium, IISc Campus

January 4, 2019 In conjunction with

20th International Conference on Distributed Computing and Networking (ICDCN 2019)

Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India

The Department of Computer Science and Automation (CSA), Indian Institute of Science (IISC) will be celebrating 50th Anniversary (Golden Jubilee) in 2019. To kick-off, the contributions of CSA alumni and faculty will be celebrated at the Symposium on Emerging Computing and Networking https://events.csa.iisc.ac.in/icdcn2019/csa50symp.htm with presentations and proceedings volume in broad areas of computing and networking algorithms, systems and applications.

Invitation to Submit Abstracts and Full Papers

Abstracts for presentations are solicited from current and past CSA students, faculty and staff members in all areas related to computing and networking algorithms, systems and applications, and everyone is welcome to attend. The presentations are expected to provide broad overviews of the areas, summaries of technical contributions, foundational contributions and results, and future emerging directions. The main purpose is to inform general audience about these technical contributions and their role within a broader context, by highlighting the technical depth and significance. At least one of the authors and presenters must be a past or current CSA student, faculty, or staff member.

Authors are also encouraged to submit a technical, overview, or visionary paper based on their abstract to be included in commemorative proceedings. A full paper is limited to 10 pages in standard ACM double column format including figures, tables, and references, and a short paper is limited to 5 pages in standard ACM double column format including figures, tables, and references. Manuscripts must be prepared in standard ACM format (see https://www.acm.org/publications/authors/submissions).

All submissions are to be made at ICDCN2019 workshops website under tag CSA50: https://icdcn19workshop.hotcrp.com/

Submission of abstract requires both text entry and pdf file with additional information on authors' CSA association. The pdf abstract file may be replaced by a full or short paper before the deadline.

Selection of abstracts and full papers

Program Committee will select the abstracts to be presented.
