Position: System Administrator, on contract at the Dept of CSA

Educational qualifications and experience :

• MCA/BE/B.Tech (CS/IT) or equivalent
• Expertise in system administration for workstations and servers running Linux distributions.
• Standard certifications are desired, although not necessary.

• ₹ 40,000 to ₹ 50,000 per month depending on expertise and experience.

• The positions will be on contract and temporary for a period of six months, and renewable half-yearly based on satisfactory performance and at the discretion of the authorities of the Institute.

• We are seeking a single person who is expected to be physically present at CSA on a daily basis.
• Work hours : Mon-Fri 9:30am to 5:30pm - to be physically present at CSA
• 24-hour on call support for absolute emergencies (server going down, security breach, critical need to fix something etc)
• Administration of web servers, department DNS server, computing lab servers and workstations, MCastle lab infrastructure, all faculty and staff workstations (only when needed), and network infrastructure; security audit; data backup administration.
• Workload and tasks are time-based as opposed to department load/demand based. Typically, faculty and staff are expected to use this service for their workstations only when it's absolutely necessary. For the other systems, regular system administration will be necessary.
